Introduction

At Anytime Pharmacy we provide a safe, bespoke and confidential alternative to the NHS and expensive private doctors. Anytime Pharmacy caters for men and women who want to be treated quickly and without fuss by experienced healthcare professionals within a non-judgemental environment. We have spent considerable time developing our online postal clinic service for people who are too busy to attend a clinic and yet require specialist care all from the comfort of their own home.

All correspondence with Anytime Pharmacy is confidential. Your details are not passed back to your GP without your consent. When you register, a secure online patient record will be automatically created for you. You can also ask for your entire online medical record to be deleted once your episode of care has been completed.

Statement of Purpose

Anytime Pharmacy aims to be the leading private online medical clinic within the UK. Anytime Pharmacy understands that patients have the right to choose between the NHS and a private service that responds to patients needs.

Anytime Pharmacy recognises its obligation to ensure the quality of care given to patients and its responsibility to ensure that the doctors who receive practising privileges to practice within Anytime Pharmacy are of appropriate and satisfactory standard. Anytime Pharmacy will ensure that all staff: including medical staff, take part in appraisal and revalidation. Medical staff will work within the Good Medical Practice guidelines issued by the General Medical Council (GMC).

The care provided by Anytime Pharmacy complies with the Care Standards Act 2000 , the National Care Standards for the Private and Voluntary Health Care (England) Regulations 2001 , the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 , and the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 .

We regularly review clinical practice and undertake clinical audit to ensure the maintenance of clinical standards.

Patient co-ordinator

Patients are requested to contact a doctor for all medically related enquires via their patient record, which is automatically set-up once a patient registers. A patient, who calls the Anytime Pharmacy telephone line, will speak to a patient co-ordinator who is not a clinician, but he/she can inform you of the range of services, treatments and fees applicable.

Please take note

Whilst the medical services offered at Anytime Pharmacy are very low risk when compared to other medical services such as surgery, patients should be aware that there may be side-effects from the medication they are personally prescribed. In addition patients should be aware that no test for sexually transmitted infections is 100% accurate and that no treatment is guaranteed to treat the condition for which it is prescribed.

1. The Importance of your Medical History
Your doctor is only able to provide you with the best advice if you provide them with every requested aspect of your past medical history, including illnesses, operations, drugs, allergies and any significant family history of disease.
Your personal safety is paramount in your doctor's mind. If you withhold any relevant information then you are potentially placing your own well being at risk.

2. Informed consent
You agree that by requesting treatment, you will provide any requested details of your medical history and that you formally give your consent for a doctor to prescribe you treatment. You also agree that by requesting a sexual health screen/test, including a HIV test/screen, that you give your informed consent to undergo the particular test/screen in the manner of Anytime Pharmacy's service for testing/screening.

3. The Role of Your GP
Your GP is responsible for your day to day healthcare and Anytime Pharmacy strongly recommends that you keep him/her advised if you take a test or are treated for an infection. However, we are obliged to point out that you have every right to keep this matter private if you wish to do so and Anytime Pharmacy will Not pass your medical record to your GP.

Out of hours service and aftercare

By registering on the Anytime Doctor website (www.AnytimePharmacy.co.uk), patients can communicate with a doctor via their online patient record. Anytime Doctor is open between the hours of 9.00am and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday. During these times, your doctor will aim to respond within hours. Patients needing medical advice outside these times should contact their GP in the first instance.

If you suffer any side-effects from any treatment that your doctor prescribes you or if your condition(s) worsens, it is important that you tell your doctor straight away to allow your doctor to fulfil their duty of after-care and to allow your doctor to monitor the effectiveness of any given treatments.

In an emergency, patients should telephone 999 or attend their nearest Accident & Emergency Department.
