Supporting UNICEF in combating malaria

stethoscope Malaria kills a child somewhere in the world every 30 seconds. With this in mind Anytime Pharmacy will donate £1 to UNICEF for every antimalarial service purchased by patients. This means you can help save lives by purchasing your antimalarials through Anytime Pharmacy.

How does the Anytime Pharmacy service work?

Step 1:             Please visit the NHS Fit for Travel website which lists the recommended antimalarials for every country in the World. Click on the countries you intend on visiting and make a note of the recommended antimalarial tablets.
Step 2: Register online and complete the free online medical questionnaire consultation. A GMC-registered doctor will review your questionnaire and, if it is safe to do so, approve you for treatment. You do not pay for your doctor consultation.
Step 3: If you are approved for malaria tablets you will be sent a text message asking you to log back into your secure patient record. You can pay for your malaria tablets using a debit or credit card. For help in deciding which antimalarial tablet to choose please go to our Choosing your malaria tablets page.
Step 4: You will be sent a FREE SMS (text message) when a doctor has sent your prescription to your nominated pharmacy. We advise you to call your nominated pharmacy to check your prescription is ready, then collect your medicine.

Why are no prices shown for Anytime Pharmacy treatment services?

Under current UK advertising law we cannot show you prescription-only-medicine (POM) prices prior to a medical consultation with a registered doctor. Once your doctor has approved you for treatment all prices are clearly displayed. Your registration and medical consultation is free and you are under no obligation to purchase any treatment.

All of our prices are fully inclusive, and so for prescription medicines the prices include the cost of the consultation, the issuing of a private prescription, and dispensing of the medicine itself. There are no hidden extras.

Which antimalarial tablet do I need?

After your medical consultation a doctor will recommend the antimalarials which are safe for you take. If all three prescription-only medicines are recommended your choice comes down to personal preference such as cost and the number of tablets you need to take for your trip.

For help in deciding which antimalarial tablet to choose please go to our Choosing your malaria tablets page.

Remember when buying malaria tablets that no antimalarial drug is 100% effective, careful anti-mosquito bite measures are essential. You should also use a mosquito net at night and effective repellents to avoid getting bitten.
